Aa a healthcare project manager you will play a pivotal role in our architectural team, contributing your expertise to various projects while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. You possess extensive technical capabilities and understanding of architectural principles, building codes and construction methodologies. Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in architecture and project coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, preferred but not required.
- Licensed Architect, preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines simultaneously.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and client needs.
Responsibilities and Experience:
- Responsible for managing complex tasks on small, medium, or large projects.
- Plan, organize, and direct the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client.
- Keep the Principal in Charge informed of progress on project expectations, deadlines and deliverables and understand the limits of the decision-making responsibilities of the role and respect the boundaries of the Principal in Charge’s responsibilities.
- Lead the client and project team to ensure the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program and design intent.
- May require assisting in the negotiation and development of project agreements.
- Develop and manage schedules and overall work plans to realize target project performance.
- Lead project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.
- Work with the construction contract administration (CCA) team members to manage and track change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.
- Work with management in determining project staffing needs.
- Direct client invoicing and effectively manage collections.
- Ensure thoughtful space planning that prioritizes patient flow, staff efficiency and critical department adjacencies per applicable guidelines or client standards.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members while contributing to the growth of ESa’s healthcare market.
- Demonstrate an understanding of architectural principles, building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies. Provide technical solutions and insights to address design challenges and optimize project outcomes.
- Participates in client presentations and project meetings, preparing presentation materials to communicate design concepts.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of architectural designs and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and project managers, to coordinate project activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure smooth project execution from conception to completion.
- Experience in development and compilation of construction documents.
- Excellent time management, computer, organizational and collaborative skills.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in architecture and construction. Share knowledge and insights with the team and actively contribute to professional development initiatives.
- Flexibility to travel as projects may require.
