Sustainability

ESa’s commitment to sustainability is two-fold:

We believe in creating healthy environments that incorporate the ideals of high performance architecture.

Secondly, as a firm, ESa is proactively involved in conserving and improving the environment in our workplace as well as in our communities.

Our designs incorporated the principles of sustainable building well in advance of industry trends. At ESa, we feel that sustainability and the basic principles of good design are synonymous: Spaces should be created that are environmentally responsible, high-performance, profitable and healthy.

  • ESa is a member of the National U.S. Green Building Council, and many of the firm’s employees are members of the local Middle TN USGBC chapter.
  • The firm encourages all design staff members to be LEED accredited and provides continuing sustainable education for the entire staff.
  • ESa has an in-house sustainability committee and has implemented a recycling program as well as many energy/waste reduction strategies within the office.
  • We engage in research and visioning projects, such as the nationally published Eco-Friendly Hotel of 2020.
